Why Agisse exists

I started Agisse to help people learn how to use AI while searching and applying for jobs. The name is a reminder to take action yourself.

Agisse tells you where to put your effort, and then gets out of the way.

The name

Agisse is French: « il faut que j'agisse », "I must act". You say it ah-ZHEESS.

Every part of Agisse should end in one next step you take yourself: apply, reach out, prepare.

What Agisse will never do

  • Apply for you. No auto-apply, no auto-submit. You press send.
  • Message people for you. It drafts the note; you send it. It never logs into LinkedIn.
  • Make things up about you. A tailored CV uses only what's in yours. What it can't know stays a blank for you to fill.
  • Sell your data or show ads. Your data never becomes the product.
  • Sell places in the feed. Roles are ranked against your profile, never for money. How the score works.

How agisse.xyz stays free

Agisse is free and open source. There's no company behind it, no paid plan and no donations.

  • Trying it costs nothing. Agisse's shared AI runs on its own key, with a small daily limit per account.
  • For real use, connect your own OpenRouter key. Better models, your own account, and you pay OpenRouter directly.
  • Hosting is cheap. It runs on Cloudflare's and Neon's free tiers; the shared AI on Agisse's key is Mistral (EU), paid with a daily cap. What it costs to run.

What's open

All of Agisse's code is open source under the AGPL. You can read it, check what it does with your data, and run it yourself with npx agisse.

The job data on agisse.xyz is not open: the hosted service collects and maintains it. A copy you run yourself starts with an empty feed. Self-hosting.
